Help Dena Get a New Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle
Donation protected
My dear friend Dena has truly dealt with so much despite being one of the most wonderful humans I know, and this recent challenge is unreal.
Not only has Dena survived a spinal cord injury that left her a paraplegic and infections that have led to hospitalization, but she also is one of the primary caregivers for her mom who was diagnosed with dementia.
In February, Dena was driving with her mother in her wheelchair accessible vehicle and was rear ended by an unlicensed, uninsured driver who was excessively speeding. Dena was at no fault, but her insurance coverage does not cover the cost of acquiring another vehicle. She does have a small payout, but it will hardly cover the additional basic modifications, not even the ramp modification.
Due to the lack of transportation, Dena has struggled to spend much needed time with her mom, including ensuring she’s receiving adequate medical attention. To make matters worse, her beloved Dog Romeo passed away the day she came home from the hospital. Dena has been through so much and she truly is a wonderful human. Every single dollar makes a difference. Please share, please comment, please like. Exposure is just as important as a donation.
