Help Demetry Walker Fight Chronic Myeloid Leukemia

Our best friend, Demetry Walker, was recently admitted to the hospital and told that he has Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. What we thought were just normal effects of stress actually turned out to be the symptoms of a life-altering diagnosis. Chronic Myeloid Leukemia has three different stages, of which Demetry was told that he more than likely has the most fatal one.
Demetry is an avid part of the Morgantown, WV community. Though he is originally from Louisiana, he has lived here for many years and made our state of West Virginia and its people his home. Right from the start, anyone who meets him will recognize the jovial attitude and positive aura that surrounds him. He is quite literally everybody's biggest cheerleader. He lights up a room when he walks in and can make anybody and everybody smile.
This past year, Demetry had started nursing school and was working hard, studying to help patients himself. He has stayed up and studied countless of hours, ensuring that he will become the best possible healthcare provider he can be. Demetry is the type of person that will ask you if you want a bottle of water before you even realize you are thirsty, and would take the shirt off of his back to help anyone. He is the Class President of his nursing cohort and is truly destined to make an AMAZING impact on this world.
Due to this unexpected diagnosis, Demetry will now have to remain in the hospital for at least one month to undergo rounds of blood testing, imaging, treatment, and follow-up. This will not only take a mental and physical toll on him, but be a huge financial toll as well.
