Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,
We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts but unwavering hope. Our beloved Demetri, a strong and hardworking 31-year-old, is currently in the ICU battling liver failure. Demetri has spent his entire life fighting against the odds, living with Crohn’s Disease, Colitis, and Liver Disease. Now, he needs a full liver transplant to survive.
Demetri’s Story
A month ago, Demetri was admitted to the hospital. Last week, Demetri’s liver suddenly failed and Saturday they told us he had 12-24 hours and on life support, but he fought and now slowly making progress while he was put in a medically induced coma, his condition has left him unable to work, and as he waits for a life-saving transplant, the financial strain is overwhelming.
Despite his health struggles, Demetri has always been a fighter. He worked three jobs at one point to support himself, refusing to let his illnesses stop him from chasing his dreams. His resilience and determination have inspired everyone who knows him.
Why We Need Your Help
With Demetri unable to work and his bills piling up, we are seeking your support to help cover his expenses for the next year while he undergoes treatment and recovery. Our goal is to raise $40,000 to ensure he has financial stability during this critical time. These funds will help cover:
• Medical and living expenses while in the hospital
• Rent, utilities, and health insurance
• Transportation for medical appointments after transplant
• Support during post-transplant recovery
