The Delta Academy is a public charter school in North Las Vegas that serves students in grades 6-12 in person and online. We provide a safe and nurturing instructional environment in which students from various backgrounds expand their knowledge base to fulfill academic and personal goals through differentiated instruction and reinforcement of positive character traits.

Among the many courses we offer, we pride ourselves in providing Spanish. We are thrilled to be offering language learning beyond the classroom with a trip to Puerto Rico this upcoming May. This is the first time our school has offered a trip of this magnitude. Our student travelers range from 9th graders to seniors and they are elated to attend this once in a lifetime experience. Some of our travelers are Puerto Rican and this will be their first time visiting their ancestral homeland.

When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow. When a travel opportunity presented itself, students at our school were beyond excited at this possibility.

The majority of our students come from under-resourced backgrounds and would benefit greatly from any assistance towards the cost of their trip. Please consider donating whatever you can.
