Help Search and Rescue Efforts in Western North Carolina
Donation protected
My name is Michael Mossessian. My fiancee and I live in Raleigh, North Carolina, and have may affected friends and family in the western part of the state, including family in the West Jefferson and Fleetwood area who were lucky enough to not be severely impacted. However, many many people did not get off as easy.
Over the last few days, it's become clear the federal government and its agencies will not be helping the people of North Carolina.
We will be conducting supply runs on a regular basis to deliver essential goods and supplies, such as:
- Clean bottled water and Gatorade
- Baby formula
- Freeze-dried food
- Canned goods
- Vitamins, toothpaste and brushes
- Soap, shampoo, and other essential hygeine
- Flashlights and headlamps
- Spare batteries
- Camp stoves, jetboils, and fuel
- Sleeping bags and cots
- Chainsaws, fuel, and oil
- And anything else we can think of that people need to survive.
We will also be conducting regular search and rescue operations in the areas north of Asheville in Mitchell County, where relief operations are needed the most at this time.
Please consider donating even a small amount to help the people of northwestern North Carolina. 100% of donations will go to our efforts to help these rural communities recover from Hurricane Helene. Thank you so much!
NOTE: We will be posting updates and receipts as we make supply runs so everyone knows the money is being put to good use.
