Vision Quest is a deeply personal feature documentary about transformation, healing, and the search for purpose. Set in the California desert, the film follows four participants through an intense vision quest retreat as they confront grief, trauma, fear, and the deeper question of why we are here.
The film was co-created by my dear friend Christian Oliver, who felt strongly that this story needed to be told. Not long after filming, Christian and his two daughters tragically passed away. Since then, finishing this film has become more than a creative mission for me — it has become a way of honoring his vision, his heart, and the questions he cared about most.
The good news is that Vision Quest is finished and distribution has been secured.
The remaining challenge is the final stretch: the professional delivery process required to release the film properly. That includes essential costs like insurance, legal, captioning, quality control, final masters, and other technical delivery materials required by distributors. These are not glamorous expenses, but they are absolutely necessary if the film is going to reach audiences. It will also serve to pay for some basic PR.
That is why I am asking for help now.
This campaign is not about developing an idea or hoping a film gets made someday. The film exists. It is ready. What we need now is the support to get it across the finish line and into the world.
If Christian touched your life, if you believe in the power of meaningful cinema, or if this story speaks to something personal in you, I would be grateful for your support. Whether you give, share, or simply help spread the word, you are helping complete a film that carries real heart, real loss, and real purpose.
Thank you for helping us bring Vision Quest into the world.
