Delilah is a sweet dog who was recently adopted from Peace4Paws. Lindsay and had been fostering her for a month and a half. Just one day after her adoption on 12/15, Delilah escaped from her new owner and was missing for 5 days. On 12/20, I was able to find and retrieve her in North Caldwell, NJ. She had lost about 7 lbs in just five days, had wounds on all her paws, and was running a fever. We rushed her to the veterinary office to make sure she was okay.

Delilah’s emergency vet visit revealed she needs blood tests, x-rays, and medication to help her recover from her injuries and illness. The costs for her care are significant, and we want to make sure she gets everything she needs to heal and feel safe again. Delilah means so much to us, and we’re doing everything we can to help her get back to her happy, healthy self. Prior to Delilah being rescued by Peace4Paws she was abandoned by her family who moved away and left her outside tied to a tree in Kentucky. The poor girl has been through a lot these past couple months. We were asked to foster her because we rescued her two puppies from Peace4Paws last year and we all wanted to reunite her with her babies.
