Help Delilah Heal: Urgent Medical Support Needed

Hello, my name is Hailee Pingitore, and I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart, hoping that someone, anyone, might be able to help my baby girl, Delilah. She’s been my world for the last two years, ever since I adopted her from a shelter right after my last in-person college class. She was only three weeks old at the time, and from the moment I brought her home, she became my best friend, my comfort, and my constant source of joy.

But now, I’m desperately trying to save her.

Over the past few months, Delilah’s health has taken a dramatic turn for the worse. She’s always been a little fearful of people, so taking her to the vet has been a last resort. At first, she started urinating outside of her litter box, and without further testing, the vet assumed it was a UTI. We tried antibiotics and special cat food, but things only got worse. Delilah started vomiting—and I quickly learned it was from the pain.

On July 13th, I had no choice but to rush her to the animal ER. She was still urinating outside the box, throwing up, and had passed a large bladder stone. We began a new round of testing, and I was faced with a medical bill of $550 just for the X-rays. At that time, the vet didn’t see any stones large enough to cause major concern. But I knew something wasn’t right.

On July 17th, I had to take her back to the vet for another emergency visit. Delilah was lethargic, bleeding (even though she’s fixed), and vomiting. She sat in her litter box for over two hours, clearly in excruciating pain. I immediately called the vet, sent them a picture of the area of concern, and they told me to bring her in as soon as possible.

Right now, she’s at the vet, undergoing more scans and possibly surgery. But as a college student trying to survive on a tight budget, this is beyond what I can manage. I’ve already put nearly $1,000 of her medical bills on my credit card—without today’s visit or any potential surgery included in that total.

I work seven days a week to support myself and Delilah, but I’m struggling. Every dollar I earn goes to keeping a roof over our heads and food in our bellies. And now, I’m turning to you, hoping that someone might be willing to help ease this burden and give Delilah the medical care she so desperately needs.

If you are able to contribute, no matter how small, I would be forever grateful. Delilah has been my best friend, my support system, and the one constant in my life. I just want to give her the chance to heal and be the happy, playful cat she once was.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for considering helping my sweet girl.

With love and gratitude,
Hailee Pingitore
