Help Dalila and Jesse Bury Their Daughter
Sally was born with a severe case of scoliosis and many other issues. She was not expected to live for very many hours when she was born.
Sally lived past the initial 7 hours she was expected to live. She lived past 7 months, she lived past 7 years. Sally is, and always was, a gentle warrior. Sally lived to meet all of her brothers and sisters, whom she loved very much. She also lived to meet some of her nieces and nephews.
Sally loved sitting in her friends' gardens, helping to pull weeds. She loved reading. She loved scanning the internet and learning. She had so many questions. Sally loved to color and many people have some of her simple yet meaningful artwork.
The pain was finally just too much for this young lady. She didn't get to experience the life many others have, but she never begrudged them having that life. She just wanted to live a life where no one was telling her she was dying. That is all she ever heard her entire life. The truth is we are all dying.
Now Sally has made her final journey into the arms of our Lord and Savior, but her family needs help.
Delila (Sally's mom) has spent 22 years caring for her daughter full-time. She would also work on the side to help friends and others who needed work at their homes. Maintaining a full-time job has not been possible for many years due to Sally's unstable health. So coming up with the money for a funeral is challenging. Jesse is retired, and he is working to hold his family together, but the grief is overwhelming.
The immediate need is to bury their daughter. The secondary need is to pay a few months of rent now that they have lost the Social Security benefits for Sally, which covered most of the rent.
If you can help this family, I know it would be very appreciated.
As you can well imagine it has been a long week.
Jesse and Delila are adjustinv to their new normal without Sally.
The world goes by day by day. Yet they trudgeforward doing what needs to be done. We have almost hit $500. The rest needs to be raised by June 9. if there is a way you can help we would really appreciateit.
