Hi, Delia’s mom here. Our family is mourning the loss of Delia, but are left with Delia’s vet bills, hospital bills, and now funeral costs within the span of a week. In the past week, Delia barely ate her food and when she did, she would throw it up. We had taken her to the vet where they told us she was fine. Few days went by and her condition got worse. She was not eating food or drinking water, did not use her litter box, was no longer her playful and affectionate self, and her breathing was abnormal. We once again talked with the vet and they found out she had kidney failure. She was rushed to the vet hospital where they told us she was quickly deteriorating and that there was nothing they could do. Our only options were to bring her back home where we would get more time with her but she would suffer for the remainder of her life or to ease her suffering at the cost of never seeing her again. We had to make the hardest and most devastating decision to not let her suffer anymore. We would like to mourn in peace without having to worry about the stack of bills.
