My name is Delaney Elise, I am a 25 year old high school science teacher and volleyball coach in central New Mexico, and I have been sick my entire life. Endometriosis, Fibromyalgia, Inappropriate sinus tachycardia (IST), and six surgeries over the years. But still, I live in pain every second of every day.
I was recently accepted into Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN to be seen for my worsening stage 3 endometriosis that four excision surgeries and a hysterectomy have yet to help with. As a result of the hysterectomy my ovaries are currently failing and may need to be removed as well.
My ability to become a biological mother has been taken from me, but I vow to live my life to its fullest potential. That is why I need your help.
In order to receive the best possible treatment at Mayo Clinic I have to raise funds for flights to and from, accommodation and expenses while there, including a potential rental car, and any extra medical bills not covered by insurance. Depending on how long I’m there I may also miss work and need extra financial support to take care of myself while I’m away from my job.
Please help me take advantage of the chance of a lifetime. Please help me find a way to take the pain away. Whether it’s a share, leaving words of encouragement to keep me strong during my stay, or a donation— THANK YOU
From the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful to my village for showing up for me when I need it most.
Always remember: Give a smile, Get a smile
#Smile4Smile:)
