Del is my brother-in-law, a devoted father of two, a proud veteran, and a loving husband to my sister Claudette for over 30 years. He has always been a hardworking family man with a deep love for the outdoors, and he’s the kind of person who never hesitates to help others. Whether it was fixing a car, lending a hand with a move, or helping with repairs, Del has always been there for friends and family. Besides his time in the service, he hasn’t traveled far, and seeing the Grand Canyon has always been a dream of his.

Recently, Del was diagnosed with Bulbar ALS. His ability to travel will soon become impossible due to his progressing medical needs. He is no longer able to work, and my sister Claudette has become his full-time caregiver. The urgency to make this trip is real—Del’s window to experience the Grand Canyon is closing, and this journey would mean the world to him and our family. The funds raised will help cover the cost of renting a travel camper, gas, campground fees, and a once-in-a-lifetime helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon.
