Help Dekeyyel and Baby Mila in Their Time of Need

It is with great sadness that I am creating this page for my colleague, my friend, and my practicum student, Dominique Darden. Dominique started her career at Moore Pediatrics about three years ago, she worked at the both the West End and Rockingham clinics. Over this time we have watched Dominique get married, finish graduate school, and have her first baby, beautiful Mila. Over this summer, Dominique went into labor early with Mila, and we have watched her tirelessly care for her baby at the NICU until it was time to bring her home. Dominique was so happy to finally bring her baby girl home and jumped in full force, ready to get back to work and finish her practicum program to become a behavior analyst at the beginning of December. Dominique unexpectedly passed away Wednesday morning. She leaves behind her parents, siblings, and the loves of her life, husband Dekeyyel and five-month-old baby Mila. Dominique was an amazing RBT and worked tirelessly with children on the autism spectrum to make meaningful and socially significant changes to improve the outcomes and quality of life for her clients. To know Dominique was to love her, as did all of our staff, parents, and especially the children she served.
