Help Deja Study Chinese at (NCKU) in Taiwan!

What follows is my best effort at making my dreams come true! I’m a junior Criminology major at Howard University studying to acquire a minor in Chinese. I have been accepted to attend Taiwan's Intensive Summer Language Program (TISLP) through The American Councils for International Education. I'm truly grateful for this opportunity and blessing! In addition, my international Chinese classes count as U.S.-earned college credits.  

This year's Taiwan's Intensive Summer Language Program is scheduled from June 16, 2021 - August 14, 2021. Here I'll experience 8 weeks of rigorous Chinese language classes and cultural studies while attending National Cheng Kung University. I'll also be staying with a host family on the weekends, sightseeing in the city, and learning about Taiwanese culture! I am beyond excited to go abroad as it will aid me on my journey to fluency in Mandarin Chinese. 

The tuition balance is due May 3, 2021, which gives me 30 days to make my dream come true! 

I'm writing to request your help in raising funds to cover my tuition and fees to attend this program. The total program cost collected by The American Council is $10, 800.00 which includes regular program cost and additional COVID-19 Precaution Related Program Expenses.
