Help Deja Walk Again: Support Her MRI

Hello, my name is Jasper and I’m trying to raise money to help Deja save her legs!

On April 27th, she had simply hopped off the bed and suddenly stopped using her back legs. We went to the ER, and doctors believe she ruptured a disc in her spine and lost control of half her body. Unfortunately, this sort of thing can only be confirmed by an MRI that costs about $18,000. Without proper testing, we’re simply keeping an eye on her and loading her up with meds to keep her comfortable. She needs frequent-constant medical attention and neurological care to monitor worsening symptoms. Best case scenario, the issue is a ruptured disc or something similar, and she has a chance to recover from this with months of close care. The doctor said if she loses feeling completely and broke her spine, this could be the end of the road for her.

She is such a fighter, and I know she’s trying so hard to walk. I’m so heartbroken that this has happened to her just a year after surviving cancer surgery. She is lifting her head and moving her front legs now, but she is completely incontinent and can’t move her body very much.

If the goal is reached, the money will go towards the MRI and proper diagnosis. But any money raised or leftover will be used for this hospitalization, continued care, medication, physical therapy, and anything else she may need.
