As many of you may know, I’m Deja, and I recently posted my story of how I was almost unalived in front of my daughter a few days ago. I posted it on TikTok, and a few people told me that if I made a GoFundMe, they’d help me relocate. So here goes...

On May 8th, 2025, my ex (whom I have a no-contact order against) was hiding across the street so that my Ring camera wouldn’t be able to catch him. He knew if I saw him on my Ring camera, I would’ve called the cops and not come home. But my 2-year-old daughter and I came home that night from grocery shopping, and there he was. He threatened me and my family members, saying that if I don’t be with him, he would unalive us. He then walked inside and laid on my bed. I thought maybe if I told him nicely that I want him to leave and that I don’t want to be with him, he would just go. I was wrong, sooo wrong.

He jumped out of my bed, grabbed me by my throat, and threw me into the wall (I posted that picture above as well). As he threw me into the wall, he held on to my throat while squeezing it so hard that my eyes rolled back. My 2-year-old daughter stood there screaming and crying with a look of fear in her eyes that I will never forget. Once he saw her, he stopped for about a minute, then made me get on the bed. I said, “Are you going to unalive me in front of my baby?” and he said, “Yes,” then proceeded to get behind me in a straddling position and put his forearm around my neck and squeezed again until my eyes rolled back. At that point, my 2-year-old started crying and screaming again and jumped on him, which made him stop again.

After that, I decided it was best to pretend that I would be with him so he wouldn’t unalive me. So I started pretending the whole night, telling him that I forgive him for what he just did to me and that we can try to work out our relationship. He raped me that night and then fell asleep. Once he fell asleep, I texted my friend, sent him my address, and told him to call the cops for me because he was laying next to me, so he would’ve heard if I called them.

The place that I’m at now, I just moved here 3 weeks ago and paid $4,000, my last $4,000, to move in. Although he’s now in jail, I know they will let him out like they always do, and I need to be in a different place by then so that he doesn’t know where I live. Anything will help. I just need enough for the move-in cost. Thank you
