After losing my mother, I moved to California to start over and build a new life. Things were going well until last year, when I faced unexpected health challenges and lost my ability to work for a time. I managed to find a job in October 2024, but after 90 days, I was let go without warning or explanation. The person I moved here to live with decided not to let me stay, and I had to move to Sacramento, hoping it would be more affordable. Unfortunately, I had to accept a much lower-paying job, and despite selling my car to make ends meet, I have fallen two months behind on my rent.

I have always been the one to help others, and it is difficult for me to ask for support. I have no family to turn to, and my children are not in a position to help. I am actively searching for work, but my age and experience have made it challenging to find a new position quickly. I am a certified Medical Assistant and phlebotomist with 27 years of experience, and I am determined to get back on my feet as soon as possible.

Right now, I am seeking help to cover my rent for June and July so I can avoid losing my home while I continue my job search. Any support will help me get through this difficult time and regain the stability I need to take care of myself again.
