Help Defray Taylor Hart’s Medical Bills

A dear friend of mine, Paula Strickland, received news about her oldest son Taylor Hart (30) - one that is a mother’s worse nightmare. Taylor was diagnosed a month ago with an angiofibroma tumor located between his sinus cavity and his brain. The angiofibroma is a vascular tumor. The vessels feeding the tumor also feed the brain. The surgery to remove the tumor is very complicated, but to make matters worse, Taylor has a hyper coagulation disorder – essentially his blood creates clots when it shouldn’t. Taylor has been on blood thinners since his early twenties. Given the nature of the tumor, this blood clotting disorder has become extremely problematic and makes the surgery to remove the tumor extremely risky. This surgery will be 9-10 hours with two specialty surgeons (deep skull surgeons) from Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Taylor is a tender, wonderful and kind son to Paula, brother to his siblings Lindsay, Chelsea and Tanner, husband to Marquinn and is the father of two adorable little girls, Gracie (6) and Everly (2). Taylor and Marquinn made an important decision for their family, for her to be a stay-at-home mom to raise their daughters, so Taylor is the sole provider for the family. Taylor is hard working, honest, trustworthy and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed anything. He will always meet you with the best hug and huge smile.
Taylor recently started a new job so his available paid time off is limited, therefore there will be unpaid leave during his recuperation. His treatment, surgery and care out of Mayo Clinic is considered out-of-network therefore burdening the family with a 50% copay after a very large deductible. Taylor and his family live in Billings, Montana where this type of surgery is not available or an option anywhere in the state. In addition to the costs of the surgery, Taylor will be in the hospital for up to 7 days or longer. They also have travel expenses including airfare and hotel for Marquinn and Paula for the time they are supporting Taylor in Rochester. The amount we are trying to raise is based on all of these factors.
On behalf of Taylor his family, and my girlfriend Paula, we are asking for any support financially you can provide to help this young family not incur such a heavy financial burden. Taylor is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday, October 13th which is 1 month after his diagnosis. Please keep Taylor in your thoughts and prayers and God bless you for your support.
