Hello my dear friends,

I am Bara’a from Gaza, 20 years old. I graduated from high school just before the war broke out, and today

amid the rubble I continue my studies in general nursing, holding onto my dream of becoming a nurse and creating a new ray of hope in the face of this harsh reality.I am the eldest daughter in a family of 8. At the beginning of the war, our home was directly targeted and completely destroyed while we were inside. We miraculously survived, narrowly escaping death.

I have a younger sister, Shahd (19 years old), twin sisters, Rima and Dima (10 years old), and two brothers: Mohannad (15) and Azmi (13). My mother and father, may God protect them, are the pillars of this exhausted household.My family has endured every face of tragedy: bombing, displacement, hunger, homelessness, fear, loss, and an indescribable pain. What we’re living through feels like a never-ending nightmare brutal and relentless. And yet, we try to hold on, to build a small hope from under the ruins.

Today, I ask you to stand with us with my family, who has endured the unbearable, and with me, so I can continue chasing my dream of becoming a nurse and serving others.

Your presence, your support, and your kind, compassionate hearts give us the strength to carry on, no matter what.
