Deekin This boy is more than just a dog.. he is my service animal, my copilot, my best friend. This dog came into my life when my mental illness was at an all time low and he has made sure to make me laugh and smile every day that he has been with me. Unfortunately the other day when I came home from work, he was unable to use his back legs. Upon examining his X-rays, they were able to diagnose him with IVDD. In other words, he will no longer be able to walk normally on all 4 feet, and we will need to adjust to a wheelchair. Afters today’s vet visit, it was determined that he’s had 0% improvements with steroids, and now it’s just about adjusting to paralysis life. He is completely incontinent and requires manual expressions of his bladder and rectum until a routine is established. He requires frequent diaper changes as the side effects of the medication is excessive urination. I’m a small business owner and was working 7 days a week before this accident. I’ve been out of work for 4 days and have drained my bank account for his most recent visits. I’ve gotten to a point that I am desperate, and willing to do anything to keep his spirits up. I keep rescheduling my work days because I’m not comfortable leaving him for long periods of time just yet. I hate to ask for help… I’m honestly horrible at asking for help… but I’m here BEGGING. If there’s any part of you that thinks you can spare a little to ease my mind and ensure he has funds going into pee pads, diapers, meds, and anything else to get him to a comfortable place. Thank you❤️
