Hi Everyone! My name is Rob Currie and my mom, Benda "Dee" Harrison White, recently passed away on December 22, 2025. In October of this year, she had terrible pain in her torso, and the doctors determined that she was having life-threatening heart arrhythmia and that she had severe complications with her liver. They inserted a defibrillator to correct the arrhythmia but were unable to do anything about the liver. From there, her health progressively went from bad to worse, and her body started shutting down.

About 20 years ago, Mom had a massive heart attack and had to have an emergency quadruple bypass. They said she would only live for about 5 years. Well, she proved them wrong and lived for 20. We are so very proud of her for being able to do that!

She has always been a very strong lady and worked hard her whole life. She worked as a respiratory therapist at a very young age and continued through her life caring for and taking care of others. She even worked years managing a retirement home. Mom never had it easy and always worked hard until she couldn't work anymore. This October, her health was so poor that I had to quit my job as an electrician and care for her around the clock. I have used all my savings on recent emergency hospital visits, doctor visits, and her medications. She was a big believer in helping others. She did it through her work and always helped others in need. She always had a garden and would give to neighbors and friends. She also helped others with food if they needed it. Mom always would raise money for others when they had lost a loved one or had hard times.

Now I'm asking on behalf of my mom, "Dee," if you could find it in your heart to help her now. She never had the means to save money for herself or to make plans for a funeral. Please help my mom to be buried by my dad, Tommy White, at Brookside Funeral Home. That was always her wish, that she would have her eternal resting place by his side.
