Help Dee Recover From this devastating flood
Hi, My name is Deborah and I’m fundraising for Dolores Hebert (Dee). She is a lovely person. A senior citizen who worked in New Jersey until her retirement. She lives alone with her cat and dog. She volunteered at animal shelters for many years & loves animals.
Hurricane Henri hit New Jersey not long ago. It was devastating to a small area in Monroe, NJ, especially to some residents in the adult community at Rossmoor. Upon buying their homes, they were told that flood insurance was not needed, since they were not in a flood zone. Sadly, Hurricane Henri proved this advice to be wrong.
Dee & her two sweet animals had to be rescued, by pontoon. Her car was submerged in water and is completely totaled from the flood. All her furniture, clothes, appliances, memories, photos, food, have been destroyed.
The homeowner’s insurance will not cover anything because it was all damaged due to the flood. FEMA can not help because a state of emergency was not declared in NewJersey.
Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciate. No amount is too small. She is a wonderful person who has helped people with the little that she has her entire life. Thank you.
