Hi,
My name is Deauma Clemons from Illinois. To open myself up to the public like this is very hard for me because I'm a very private person. I realize this battle I'm about to face, I cannot do it alone.
I would like to share my personal journey of this undetected cancer disease. It began in late January 2025 with unresolved stomach issues. As my pain never subsided I drove myself to the ER on March 9th, where several tests were taken. Once the results came in, the doctor informed me that he saw a mass on my pancreas and stated he was very concerned. So he called an oncologist to schedule further testing. Everything was moving so quickly and so many emotions of the unknown.
My blood work revealed March 26th that my tumor markers are 400 and they need to be 37. I was then offered two chemo treatment options, twice a week, every two weeks to attempt to shrink the tumor. He suggested the more aggressive treatment for my particular case. My oncologist thinks I am young enough and should do well, and advised they prescribe many medications to offset the side effects.
Option 1: Very Aggressive Approach
Option 2: Less Aggressive
I have chosen option 1 with the expectation to begin treatment as soon as possible and currently working on the steps to start.
On top of my cancer diagnosis, I have been assisting with my mother's caretaking for the past 7 years. She has been living with dementia. So my new reality is I do not have the support system I am going to need, both physically and financially. I am not able to work at this time. I am overwhelmed with everything that needs to be put in place while facing this long road ahead of me. I would like to express how much your support would mean to me, as I begin my journey. It will allow me to have a peace of mind and the opportunity to focus on healing, knowing I will be able to sustain the necessary needs to live.
Funds collected will be used to help with payments and necessities of:

Our Goal to call for action is $37,000.

Dee
