Dianne is a 50 year old wife, mother, daughter, sister and most of all, a wonderful human being. She is kind, happy, hardworking, selfless, responsible and always puts her family first. Her husband Jay and 4 children, Cameron, Kyle, Dylan and Ryan are her whole world.
On April 10, 2007 at the age of 38 Dianne "Dee" (Power) Lucey was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a few surgeries and many months of radiation and chemo they told her she was cancer free, but she would have to take some medication for the next 10 years as a precaution.
Dee's medication commitment ended in 2018. Less than a year later, earlier this year, she started getting frequent headaches. After trying a few treatments with no success the doctors finally sent her for a scan. On July 25, 2019 Dee found out that she had a golf ball sized tumor in her brain and needed emergency surgery. Unfortunately, only 4 weeks later they had to go back in to remove more. The Stage 4 breast cancer had returned & metastasized to her brain. Due to the aggressive nature of the cancer, she will begin an aggressive radiation and chemotherapy schedule this week which most likely will continue for the rest of her life. It is also probable that she will lose her eyesight due to the radiation treatments.
Dee worked full-time, but obviously is out of work currently. Her return date is unknown.
Like most of us she has a mortgage, car payments as well as large grocery bill for growing boys & college tuition to pay for one of her children. She also owes thousands of dollars in medical bills which will only be increasing...
Dee, her husband and kids need more financial help than her extended family can provide which is why we started this Go Fund Me for them.
