Help David's Fight with Cancer! UPDATE DEE has sadly passed

My name is Michelle Fitzner I am making this go fund me to support my neighbours/ great friends Dee Rockett, Claire Veighey and their three young kids at the most heartbreaking time of they're lives.

Dee over the last year who is only 49 has been experiencing severe stomach pain, weakness and was tired all the time. After a pleurisy diagnosis and numerous antibiotics. Dee then started losing excessive amounts of weight.

Sadly then after many doctors, hospital visits, ct scans and keyhole surgery they're family got the worst possible news a few months before christmas on 16th September Dee was diagnosed with borderline stage 4 stomach cancer. (Adenocarcinoma) Dee and his fiance Claire tried to stay positive for they're three children at home, They were ready to fight cancer with all they had!

Dee started Chemotherapy on the 23rd November he had 4 cycles, on his last Chemotherapy treatment on the 4th December Dee became violently sick and was admitted to the Cancer centre in belfast city. Two blood transfusions, a CT scan, Blood clots in his lungs, arm and leg, Dee and his family were given the most horrific news any family could ever hear.

'There's nothing we can do' Chemotherapy is not. At most you have a few months to live

Dee, Claire and they're young children are devastated, they are trying to come to terms with this news. Dee is at home spending what time he may have left with the ones who love him most making memories trying to enjoy what might be his last christmas.

The plans are that Dee will have a stomach stent placed to allow him to eat then start receiving palliative Chemotherapy.

This go fund me is to try and get a second opinion as they feel they have been given up on. They are willing to try any alternative treatments privately that could allow him to have as much time with his family as possible. There's no price you put on that.

Any remaining donations will go towards the cost of his funeral cost when the most difficult time comes and to support Claire and they're young children navigate through any financial hardship they may face when they're lives are ripped apart loosing they're whole world.

Please help me not to just fight cancer fight to let kids who have had they're hearts broken just before christmas to spend more time with they're Daddy. Fight for more days!!
