Hi, my name is Denise and I am fundraising for my Facebook friend, Mariya Balalova who is a veterinarian who lives in Ukraine. Her world has been turned upside down by this war. She used to live every day, operating her veterinary clinic and showing her dogs on the weekends. But now 70% of her income is gone and the patients that she can treat are mostly charity. She has 25 Pomeranians 1 mixed breed dog 3 cats 13 finches (who were rescued) and lots of fish. She needs our help to continue her life saving work.

The missiles are getting closer to her home near Kyiv, and she and the pups are forced to hide in the cellar when the sirens go off, which is now constant.
