I am a forty two year old graphic designer, recently laid off, and shortly thereafter diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. It is the kind where I will have to receive treatment before the tumor can be removed. Then the hope is that I will be cancer free. I have been working since I was fourteen years old, prior to even being able to obtain a work permit, and I would gladly continue to do so. However, with the economy and the advent of artificial intelligence jobs in my field are dwindling, and on account of my particular cancer happens to be one of the most painful variants a person can have. As a result of this I am in excruciating pain even simply sitting at my computer, so much pain that thinking itself is difficult. On top of that, as I'm sure you are all experiencing, this economy good or bad, depending on who you talk to, is killing us with prices. It was god awful while I was working, but this is untenable. My wife works but there's no way she can float us alone. It pains me to be in this position and needing help but I have to ask you for your compassion and kindess because that's what our situation requires. We need help. Any is greatly appreciated. I hope you can find it your heart and have the financial stability to be able to contribute to my battle and recovery from this debilitating and deadly disease.
