Help dedicate a bench in Trouble dog's memory at Lynn Valley

Hi, my name is Nicole and I'm helping raise funds to dedicated a bench in Lynn Valley to our beloved dog Trouble, who recently crossed the doggy rainbow (we are hoping to make this a beautiful surprise for Mark, so please do not share).

One of Trouble's favourite places in the whole world was Lynn Valley headwaters, where he and his dad ran or walked over 1000 times over their eight years together.

Every time he was there, Trouble would show his friends his favourite spot, which was just past the 1km mark on the left where he'd zip down to the river to cold dip and drink. Right up until his last night, Trouble was part of the river - even though he needed help down to the water, he perked right up as soon as we got him in the fresh waters.

To commemorate this special place that was such a big part of Trouble and Mark's story, his friends and family want to dedicate a bench at his favourite spot, so we can continue to go there and honour his memory. He'd love nothing more than knowing he got more people out to his favourite spot to connect with nature and their loved ones.

Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation has confirmed they can place a bench as a lasting tribute. Anything you can donate will be much appreciated, and we hope you can come visit the bench once it's made. Even better, we'd love for you to take a photo there and share it #fortrubs.

Where the money will go

We hope to raise enough to get the commemorative park bench, which ranges between $2300 - $4100, depending on the type. Whatever is not used for the bench, will go to Squamish Neighbourhood Animal Protection and Partnership (SNAPPS), a First Nations Animal Rescue & Care group run by Squamish First Nation members & partners. These are the wonderful people who helped rescue Trouble and place him with Mark.
