Hi, my name is Chrystina & I am fundraising for Debra Chaney after her 3rd brain surgery due to Hydrocephalus. Hydrocephalus is a build-up of fluid in the cavities deep within the brain. The extra fluid puts pressure on the brain and can cause brain damage. It's most common in infants and older adults, but Debra has been put through the wringer with this. Her first surgery was to place the shunt and valve. She became epileptic after the first surgery. Yet she still managed to graduate from college with high honors during this trying time. The second surgery was to adjust and unclog the shunt. This past surgery was to replace the valve and add extra tubing. The last one has been by the far the worst. She is stuck in bed in pain. Her and her fiancé, Ben, just bought a house and now are trying to make ends meet with a single income. She’s fighting disability and isn’t sure she’s going to have a job to go back to once she’s up and moving again because they refuse to accommodate her for the disability. They have two children, Landon 10 years old & Aubrey 4 years old. Bens doing the best he can, but any help is appreciated.
