I am reaching out for help after my home was burglarized and many personal and shared belongings were stolen. The hardest loss of all was my customized wheelchair. Because I live with paralysis, my wheelchair is not just a piece of equipment. It is my mobility, my independence, and the way I move through daily life. Losing it has been devastating, and this experience has left me feeling shaken and overwhelmed as I try to recover from something so personal and violating.
