My name is Shondrika, and I am reaching out on behalf of my mom, Debra Thompson. On Monday, January 19th, 2026, Debra lost everything in a house fire. The home she worked so hard for is now gone, along with all of her belongings. Debra has always been someone who would help anyone she could, and now she is facing the unimaginable—having to start over from nothing.

The fire left Debra with nothing but the clothes on her back. She is in urgent need of basic essentials like clothes, food, and toiletries, and she needs enough support to begin looking for a new place to live. This has been a heartbreaking experience for our family, but we are hopeful that with the kindness of others, Debra can begin to rebuild her life.
