Help Deborah Fight Breast Cancer—Again
My name is Eric Mailhot, and I am asking for your support as my wife, Deborah, faces the fight of her life for the second time in ten years.
Deborah has been diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer again and has already begun her first round of weekly chemotherapy treatments. In the middle of August, she will begin a second, more aggressive round of chemotherapy. After that, she will undergo three surgeries, followed by an additional six months of immunotherapy. We know the road ahead will be long, physically demanding, and emotionally exhausting.
We are also the parents of four wonderful teenagers. Our oldest is entering 12th grade and preparing for college, while our other children are getting ready to begin another school year. Like any parents, our focus has always been on providing for our family, but this diagnosis has changed everything.
To care for Deborah, I have already used much of my vacation and paid time off to take her to doctor appointments, chemotherapy treatments, and to care for her at home. As her treatments become more intensive and the school year begins, our children will be in school and unable to help during the day. This means I will need to take additional unpaid time away from work so I can continue being by Deborah's side when she needs me most.
At the same time, Deborah's ability to continue working is uncertain as she faces months of aggressive treatment, surgeries, and recovery. The loss of income, combined with mounting medical expenses and everyday household bills, has placed an enormous financial burden on our family.
If you are able to help, your donation will go directly toward Deborah's medical care, travel to treatments, household expenses, and helping our family stay financially stable while we focus on her recovery. No gift is too small, and if you are unable to donate, sharing our story with others would be an incredible blessing.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read our story. Your generosity, prayers, and words of encouragement mean more than we can express. We trust that God will continue to carry us through this difficult journey, and we are grateful for every person who stands beside us.
God bless you,
Eric, Deborah, and our family
