I have HER2 Breast Cancer and have been off work since August 2025. After twenty-three years of steady employment, this is the first time I've been unable to work. I was hospitalized for a bile structure in August, and again in December 2025 due to chemotherapy complications. My short-term disability has run out, and I haven't received a paycheck for two pay periods. I recently had breast cancer surgery on April 2nd, and will need radiation five days a week for five weeks. My doctor has said I can't return to work until June 26, 2026. Now, I have no money for rent, car insurance, electric bill, and everyday living expenses. The situation is overwhelming and stressful, and I truly don’t want to be homeless.

These funds will help me pay my rent, electric bill, daily living expenses, and food. They will also cover gas for my car so I can get to my doctors appointments and radiation treatments. I don’t have any money to take care of my rent for May, car insurance, or electric bills for this month. I’m afraid I might become homeless. I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana with no family, and the only friends I have are the people I work with.
