50 x 50, Let' raise $50,000 by Deb's 50th B-day

Donation protected

Deborah turns 50 years old on August 4, 2019!  She is scheduled for her second Bone Marrow Transplant on August 7. Although it's not the way we would choose to spend this milestone birthday,  we are hugely grateful there are options. AML is a tough disease to beat.
She already endured one transplant at Stanford, and a clinical trial at the City of Hope, and your generosity got us through those chapters. What we need now is the funds to carry the family through the next phase of treatment; transplant #2.  Even a small donation makes a huge difference!

Deborah will be away from home, and family, for 4 months, minimum. The money we raise will go toward continued childcare for our twin girls, Naava and Talia, supplementary income for bills (especially during this period while Allen is off work, acting as her primary caregiver), medicine, co-pays, transportation to and from the hospital, travel, and accommodations.

Our hearts are full of gratitude for all the ways you have supported us so far. We thank you - endlessly - for any way you can support our family now.

For those of you who don't know  the whole story:

On February 23, 2018, Deborah was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), and was rushed into induction chemotherapy, followed by a bone marrow stem cell transplant.

In December of 2018, she relapsed after 10 months, and the leukemia came back with an aggressive mutation.

She was accepted for an immunotherapy (Car-T, CD 123) trial at City of Hope, in Duarte, CA which we had hoped would prepare her bone marrow for the next transplant - unfortunately the treatment failed. Now a more aggressive transplant protocol is in order. She will spend one month in the hospital, and 3-4 months in close proximity to the hospital for ongoing care. All in all, the recovery period will be another 12 months in which Deborah will be in and out of the hospital.

For donations, please donate on this site. If you would like to follow her story, it can be found at:

Thank you, endlessly, for your support. Let's get it this time, once and for all!
