Help Carry Her Through: My Mom’s Myeloma and Amyloidosis Journey
Story:
After countless tests, ER visits, and sleepless nights filled with worry, we finally have a diagnosis—active multiple myeloma. This rare and aggressive cancer is attacking my mom’s bones, organs, and strength.
She is now in a daily battle with overwhelming fatigue, pain, and mobility loss. She can no longer walk up or down the stairs in her home, and she must be carried to and from appointments, including life-saving treatments. Despite the challenges, she faces each day with courage, and we’re doing all we can to support her.
Treatment Plan:
She is starting a two-part treatment:
• Phase 1: Two injections each week for the next 2 months.
• Phase 2: Pending a heart evaluation, she will begin a second, more intense treatment.
We’ve reached out to numerous cancer foundations and assistance programs, but haven’t received help. This journey is one no one should take alone. The costs—transportation, mobility support, household modifications, and medical co-pays—are quickly adding up, and it’s more than we can carry on our own.
We are asking, from the depths of our hearts:
If you can donate, even $5, or simply share this campaign, you are helping lift some of the burden off her back—and ours.
Your support means the world. It gives us hope, strength, and the means to carry on.
Thank you and God bless you.
