Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and an urgent request to support our dear friend and colleague, Deborah Atwell, in the wake of an unimaginable tragedy.
On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, the devastating Altadena Eaton Fire tore through Deborah’s neighborhood, leaving nothing but ashes in its wake. Among the destruction was Deborah’s home—a place filled with love, memories, and the life she built with her family. To make matters even more heart-wrenching, the fire also destroyed her in-law’s home, which was her husband’s childhood home, a place that held irreplaceable memories and sentimental treasures spanning generations.
In the span of a single day, Deborah and her family lost not only their physical belongings but also their sense of security and stability.

Deborah is the kind of person who has always been there for others—whether it’s lending a helping hand, sharing her wisdom, or offering unwavering kindness. Now, she needs US to come together to help cover unexpected costs and to get them back on their feet.
