Help Debby Heal Without Financial Stress

On Saturday, May 18th, my sister, Debby, had emergency open-heart surgery to remove a tumor that was discovered IN HER HEART. She did great after the surgery and was able to return home to recover on May 21st. As she continues to heal and recover, she will not be able to work for at least 6 weeks. This means no income, and no ability to pay for her living expenses. Although she has health insurance that will pay for much of the hospital stay, she is anticipating having to pay 10’s of thousands of dollars. All of this to say, this medical emergency is now a financial emergency.

For those of you who know Debby, you know that she is an incredibly generous person. Giving is her love language. She is fiercely independent, and like many of us, resists asking for help. This financial emergency is an opportunity for Debby to receive the gift of generosity from others.

For those of you who can donate, even a little, here is what this fundraiser will support Debby with:

• Monthly living expenses such as mortgage, utilities, and other bills for up to 2 months

• Meals for up to 2 months

• A portion of medical bills

To help pay for bills that are coming due, our initial fundraising goal is $3,000 by June 7th, and another $5,000 by July 4th.
