My name is Laura, Steve's little sister, and I am raising money for my sister-in-law Debbie Tarpley. My brother, Steve Tarpley, recently passed away at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City on the early morning of August 27, 2025, after a long battle with several medical issues.

Steve had been ill for a very long time, but about two years ago, Debbie had to be with him nearly 24/7. This year had brought many more struggles because of his health. Since this summer, Steve has had to take several trips to the ER. Debbie was only able to work a few hours during that time.

On August 12th, Steve had to be admitted to Mercy Hospital for 7 days. Then he got discharged from the hospital and started rehab on August 18th for 6 days. Everything seemed to be better. But on Saturday, August 23rd, he was back at Mercy Hospital. It was then that they discovered his body was failing him. Steve's liver and kidneys just stopped working. On August 24th, they put Steve on Palliative Care because there was nothing else the Drs. could do for him. Steve passed away in the early morning of August 27, 2025 with his family and friends by his side.

Debbie has been through so much! Steve struggled very long time with his health issues and Debbie was always there to help him. Debbie had known Steve since they dated in high school. They were married for almost 34 years. He was her whole life.

We are raising funds to help Debbie with the medical, ambulance, and memorial bills and other expenses she now faces alone.
