Help Debbie the mini-Donkey

Hi, my name is Terry Harkins and I represent the animals residing at Hark's Ark Animal Sanctuary. We are a non-profit animal rescue located in Bruce Crossing, Michigan. Debbie the mini-donkey has been a resident at the Sanctuary since 2014. She is a real sweetheart. We experienced a huge blizzard here in the Upper Peninsula at Christmas, and I am not certain if Debbie slipped and twisted something, or if she was just not feeling well, but she was laying down and not getting up. I had the vet come out to the farm from Willow Animal Hospital in Ashland, WI. He did an exam and took bloodwork. She appeared healthy, but she could not get up without assistance. The vet recommended increasing her diet and forcing her to get up for a moment each day. Since then, the vet has been out to check on her two more times. Now, on February 28 she is doing great, but the cost of her veterinary care is $1,000. Your donation helps me to continue to provide quality care for my rescued animal friends.
