My name is Ashley Morris and I've made this go fund me page on behalf of my mother who was displaced by the Camp Fire in Paradise, Ca, on November 8th.
Backstory
A few years ago Debbie lost everything in a house fire. She packed up what was left of her life and headed off to a new beginning in the beautiful town of Paradise. She suffers from a severe respiratory condition and the clean air called to her. Within a few years she managed to settle into the welcoming town and established a sense of home and community.

On Thursday November 8th she fled the Camp Fire along with thousands of other people. She was lucky to be able to escape with her dog, car, medication, and the clothes on her back. EVERYTHING else has been lost. For the second time in less than a decade she will have to rebuild her life.

Debbie’s Need
In emergency situations like this there are so many unforeseen costs that arise and Debbie’s situation is no different. Debbie has been getting by on her fixed income but in light of this tragedy, making ends meet on that income alone simply isn't possible. Her Friends and Family have offered what they can to keep her and Seamus (The Irish Wolfhound Puppy) safe and comfortable, but financial needs will arise. Her house was insured but the deductible alone is enough to be a significant burden. And as she found from the last fire, it will take time to receive compensation, and the insurance amount will never really cover what has been lost.
Any financial support will go towards essentials such as food, doctor visits, gas, clothing, etc. Just the things that are needed to get a person up and running again and perhaps even stronger than ever!
How Can You Help?
Donations are appreciated, but not the only way you can help! By simply sharing, emailing, or texting this post you can help Debbie’s cause. Every share is meaningful and does not go unnoticed.
Gratitude
None of us survive in this world alone. It’s with the strength of our friends, family, loved ones, and community that we can overcome tragedies and put ourselves in a position to offer help and support to the next person in need. If all you have to offer is your time and attention and have read this far, then I thank you for that and any other kindnesses you can spare. Your generosity has been tremendous and our hearts burst with a gratitude that words cannot describe.
