Help Debbie Rebuild After Hurricane Milton Tornado Damage

My name is Hope Diaz (Charlotte, NC) and I'm raising funds on behalf of my sister, Debbie Nast who lives in Florida. Hurricane Milton came soon after Helene swept across the West Coast of Florida and has ravaged areas south of Sarasota, including my sister Debbie's home. Was there a hurricane going on? Yes, but that hurricane spawned a tornado that touched down in her community. This is what she reported to us when she got back to her home.

"So, I've lost my carport, my shed, my washer/dryer, all my tools, and my electric bike... and (for some reason) my front stairs?

Nobody has gone inside, so I don't know about inside damage yet."

My heart is broken for her because several months ago, I was in her shoes. Our home was totaled by a tornado that felled a tree on it. The feeling of looking at your home and seeing the place you've built a life in is gut-wrenching. Your soul grieves. Sure, it's just stuff. But it is also the place where you felt secure.
