Hi, my name is Amy, I’m Debbie’s daughter. My brothers Daryl, Devin, Dwayne and I are reaching out for help for our mom.

She was admitted to the hospital in Chetwynd on March 27th with signs of a stroke. Over the next few days, her heart rate became dangerously unstable, and doctors determined she was at high risk for a heart attack.

On March 31st, she was flown to Vancouver, where she is now waiting for a triple bypass surgery.

In the early hours of April 3rd at 1:45 a.m., she was rushed for a CT scan after coughing up small amounts of blood. We’ve since been told it’s nothing to be concerned about right now, which has been a bit of a relief.

At the same time, our brother Dwayne is also in Vancouver going through a stem cell transplant as he fights cancer for the second time. Having both of them going through this at once has been incredibly hard on our family.

We’re raising funds to help with travel, medical-related expenses, care when our mom comes home, everyday bills, and to fix up her home so it’s a safe and healthy place for her to recover.
