February 2018 brought some unwanted news; Breast Cancer Again. Last time was in 2007, so 11 years later I was not expecting this when I went for my annual mammogram.
The Costs:
Since I am receiving treatment that is considered “Alternative”, most of my expenses are not being covered by my insurance. So far we have paid out over $56,859, without the help of insurance. This is in addition to what our insurance covered for the upfront tests and the surgery.
I don’t have time for this in my life, but then who does?
In addition to having my own business, Rich Innovations, (www.RichInnovationsFlorida.com), I do rescue work, helping to make changes for animals near and far. I have been an animal lover my whole life, something I got from my dad who would bring home strays on a regular basis. I’ve learned from some of the best, on how to speak and act locally for the animals. I was a team leader of 36 ambassadors, in the state of Florida for Best Friends (www.bestfriends.org), I’ve worked closely with Alley Cat Allies (www.alleycat.org) bringing improvements thru education of Feral and stray cats. Many of those Feral and stray cats share our home and hearts, and they help me decide which products to add to my online store for your finicky cats. I’ve educated myself in Shelter Management including health and behaviors via the University of the Pacific with Bonney Brown and Diane Blankenburg.
My dream is to open a Cat Café where people can come and enjoy the company of cats, help socialize them and get them adopted into loving homes. Many people aren’t able to have cats in their lives 24/7 due to family allergies, landlords or living situations such as senior living facilities. One more way to save lives.
After doing extensive cancer research on treatments from conventional to alternative, I located LifeWorks Wellness Center in Clearwater, Fl a 3-hour drive from home. More information on the treatments can be found here: http://www.lifeworkswellnesscenter.com/cancer/alternative-cancer-treatment.html
The hardest part is being away from home for 5 days a week; away from John, our cats, our chickens and our home.
My treatments at LifeWorks began March 26th, after a battery of tests which included sending 30cc of my blood to Greece for testing against a multitude of chemo drugs (46 in my case) along with testing against herbs and other inhibitors. This was to determine what was the best treatment to fight “my cancer” not just any cancer.
Their approach uses the latest technologies available to deal with cancer while also supporting & enhancing the whole body, eliminating any toxic substances lodged within the system and supercharging your body's most powerful defense, your immune system. Your immune system is miraculous when running at peak efficiency and should have the power to stop & eliminate the disease process in its tracks.
This whole-body approach does not exclude using traditional cancer therapies; however it has the advantage of also using the latest natural, holistic, nutritional and whole-body approaches which make any treatments easier on the body and potentially more effective.

4/13/18: Right now, with 3 weeks of treatments behind me, I’m feeling great; I’ve lost 7 lbs by switching to a Ketogenic Diet, which is part of the whole plan. Cancer feeds on sugar and needs to be eliminated from the diet. I have more energy, my mind is clearer, and I’m able to climb the stairs to my apartment with no knee pain.
I appreciate you reading my story and sharing it if you should feel the urge to do so.
“To help me get the word out, you can share my link to your Facebook Timeline!”
I am blessed to have so many friends praying and pulling for me to win this battle.
God Bless you and yours,
Debbie
