HELP DEBBIE BEAT STAGE IV BREAST AND LIVER CANCER

Donation protected
A doting mother to two young children, a loving daughter, and a dear sister, Debbie Powell has been all things to everyone. Her presence has been felt by anyone and everyone who ever needed help in the small island of Jamaica. Devoting her life tirelessly to helping others, Debbie was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in February 2018.

Over the past 36 months, Debbie has been a powerhouse, fighting with a prayer in her heart and a smile on her face, whilst going through radiation and chemotherapy. Enduring some of the most unimaginable pain one could go through, Debbie has bravely gone through the challenges of her condition. A beacon of light and inspiration to people in Jamaica and the United States, Debbie’s light has begun to dim.

Despite medical insurance not being available in Jamaica, Debbie had always found a way to pay for her treatments. However, once COVID-19 began ravaging the small island,  with COVID-19 protocol put into place, help became scarce and Debbie’s ability to make money as a certified massage therapist ceased to exist.

With no money to pay for any treatment, Debbie’s condition has worsened. Her cancer has become even more aggressive and has spread to the liver causing Debbie to be unable to breathe properly. On March 24, 2021, Debbie was told that she would need a more aggressive form of treatment, which would include chemotherapy and surgeries to address the mass growths that are now under her arm. There is currently a great fear that the cancer has now spread to Debbie’s lymph nodes. Debbie is a fighter, but she is in pain, she is weak, and constantly nauseous. Labeled as the glue that once held her family together, Debbie is fading but hoping for a miracle.  She is hoping to raise enough money to pay for a double mastectomy and a surgical procedure on the liver to remove the cancer that has spread before it continues to spread any further.

Debbie needs your help. She needs anyone who is able and willing to rally around and behind her to push her to the victory line. She does not want to give up, but the challenges surrounding her condition is mounting.

The enormous debt is mounting but Debbie hopes to “BEAT CANCER” and  “ NOT LET CANCER BEAT HER.” The out of pocket costs for medical treatments continue to pile up and the costs of radiation, chemotherapy, and doctor visits are proving to be more expensive than Debbie can manage on her own.

Any amount of help would be greatly appreciated and the Powell family would be thankful for any support, help, or prayer sent their way.
