Help Deb Walk Again After Tragic Accident
Donation protected
On June 23, 2025, at around 10 a.m., Debra "Deb" Eppert was enjoying her favorite pastime, walking, when she was tragically struck by a vehicle at the intersection of County Road 42 and Chippendale in Rosemount. The accident left Deb with severe injuries, including a broken leg, hip, multiple ribs, shoulder, ankle, and a dislocated finger. Despite the immense trauma, Deb’s vibrant spirit and love for those around her continue to shine through.
Deb was rushed to Regions Hospital, where she underwent two critical surgeries within the first few days. The first addressed her hip, knee, and finger, while the second involved a full shoulder replacement. After giving her body time to recover from these intense procedures, she faced her most extensive surgery yet on her right ankle, which required 11 screws, a plate, and two external stabilizing rods that will remain until mid-August. As of July 7, 2025, Deb has been transferred to a Transitional Care Unit, where she’s beginning the long road to recovery.
Walking has always been Deb’s way of staying healthy, both physically and mentally. Her goal is to return to this beloved activity, and her care team is focused on helping her regain her strength and mobility over the coming months. No further surgeries are planned at this time, but her progress in rehabilitation will determine the next steps. Knowing Deb, she’ll tackle this challenge with the same determination and grace she brings to everything in life.
What makes Deb truly special is her boundless love and care for others. Even in the midst of her own pain and recovery, she’s been asking about how everyone else is doing. Her heart is overflowing with gratitude for the support she’s received, and she wants everyone to know how much she loves and appreciates them. It’s this love, poured into her by her community, that fuels her strength and keeps her going.
We’re launching this GoFundMe to help Deb and her husband, Randy (45-year anniversary this September!), with the costs of their ongoing care as she works toward walking again. Your support, whether through a donation, a kind message, or simply sharing this page, will mean the world to Deb and her loved ones. Let’s come together to lift up this incredible woman who gives so much to everyone around her.
Thank you for helping Deb get back on her feet and back to doing what she loves most. Your generosity will make all the difference in her recovery journey.
