Help Deb Heal and Fight for Justice
Donation protected
Boozhoo, my name is Louisa. I am the chair of The Native People's Caucus. I am reaching out today because a dear friend of many people, A fellow Caucus member, and Elder Ogichidaa Ikwe (Warrior Woman) for our Environment, has been injured and arrested after attempts to calmly educate people on the harm to Wisconsin and Minnesota and to 10% of the freshwater supply.
On Wednesday, Wisconsin felt they needed 8 police officers to hold her down, handcuff, and arrest her for needing to use the restroom as she was exercising her right to a peaceful gathering. Please donate what you can to help pay for legal and medical and chiropractic bills to put her back together. Deb has heavy bruising, and the alignment of her neck and back has been compromised.
Deb recently lost her husband, so any income earned has been interrupted by these 8 officers' need to restrain this 5'3" Elder for needing to use the restroom. You can voice complaints to the Dane County Police Department in Wisconsin as well.
