Help Deb Cavanaugh Heal and Continue Music
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Deb Cavanaugh. I've been making my living as a musician, performing mostly original songs, teaching music classes for families with young children, working in schools, libraries, museums, and more. I even went to China in 2019 to teach English through music in two preschools outside of Beijing. I love singing and dancing, jumping, wiggling, and running with these young people and watching them come alive. I also teach their parents and teachers how to use the music and activities to make their parenting jobs easier. I help create musical families.
On November 29th, the day after Thanksgiving, I fell twelve feet through a trapdoor, landing on my back and breaking twelve ribs and my sternum. Eight of the twelve ribs had multiple fractures. After a ten-hour surgery and two weeks in the hospital, I'm facing a three to four month at-home recovery. Because I am self-employed, this means a major loss of income in gigs and tuitions as well as the need to refund the money already paid to me for the December and upcoming winter classes.
I know that times are tough for everyone, and even the smallest donations will help. Thanks in advance.
