Help Deb And Brian Recover from their Apartment Fire.
Donation protected
As many of you know, my mom and her husband were part of the horrible fire that happened yesterday (5/2) at the Northern Meridian Apartments.
As of right now, we still don’t know the extent of how damaged her unit is. It was close to where the main fire was. They are saying it will be a minimum of 2 months before she’s allowed back in to retrieve any of their belongings or know if anything is salvageable. Thankfully, they were able to retrieve her car keys today, so they have their vehicles, but she really has nothing else. The apartment management is only putting people up in hotels for last night and tonight (5/1 ams 5/2). Many of you have reached out and asked how to help, so here is a way you can!
They are needing to replace all essentials right now: clothes, shoes, food, toiletries, chargers, and all the other things you use daily. If anyone wants to donate these items, please reach out to me (Alyssa).
They would also greatly appreciate anyone wanting to bless them with a cash donation. My mom is never one to ask for help or receive it, so as her daughter, halfway across the country who can’t do much, I’m asking for help for her! Anything you can give will help them in this unimaginable time where they literally left with the clothes on their back. (Shout out to Brian walking around the mall today in his pajamas and slippers!)
In the coming days to weeks, they will start looking for a new apartment and try to start over, but again will be doing so with no access to their belongings and no idea if any of their belongings are salvageable. My goal in this GoFundMe is to simply help them in the coming weeks replenish the essentials and give them some comfort while they have so much to figure out. Funds will also be used to help them get a new apartment and move on from all of this. Please reach out (message me on FB if you don’t have my number) with any questions or other items you may want to donate. They would also greatly appreciate prayers in this time!
