My sister Deanna Ramos and her beloved dog, Dexter, were involved in a tragic car accident in Polk County. Deanna passed away instantly, leaving a huge void in our hearts. Dexter, her loyal companion, survived but is in critical condition. He is currently receiving care at Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Des Moines for internal bleeding, two fractured ribs, and severe bruising. Despite his injuries, Dexter stayed by Deanna’s side until help arrived, showing the deep bond they shared.

This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family. We are doing everything we can to help Dexter recover, as we know that’s what Deanna would have wanted. At the same time, we are facing the overwhelming costs of her funeral and cremation services. The funds raised will go directly toward Dexter’s medical bills and giving Deanna the respectful farewell she deserves.
