Help DeAnna Recover, Heal, and Sing Again
In August 2024, my wife DeAnna was diagnosed with breast cancer.
The news hit us hard, but DeAnna faced it with the same quiet strength and grace she brings to everything, including her greatest passion: singing. Over the months that followed, she underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. Today, by God’s grace, she is cancer-free.
But the story isn’t over.
DeAnna is now in recovery, rebuilding her strength through physical therapy and slowly trying to regain her singing voice, which was deeply impacted by the chemo. For someone whose voice is not just a passion but a calling, the loss has been painful. She's determined to sing again, and I believe she will.
Adding to the challenge: just eight weeks into her treatment, we had to relocate across state lines. I started a new job. DeAnna had to transfer doctors mid-treatment. We moved from a lower-cost area to a place where the cost of living is nearly double, and just when our income was at its most fragile.
The medical bills are now coming due. And despite insurance, the out-of-pocket expenses are overwhelming.
We’re asking for help to cover roughly $15,000 in accumulated costs. DeAnna had to drastically reduce her work hours during treatment and is only just beginning to ease back into a regular work schedule. We’ve both made sacrifices. I’ve been grateful that my church has allowed me the flexibility to take her to appointments. But financially, it’s been tough to regain our footing.
We believe God is still writing this story and that He’s going to use DeAnna’s journey to bring hope to others walking through the darkness of cancer. If you feel moved to be part of that story, whether through giving or sharing this campaign, thank you.
We are trusting God to provide and maybe, just maybe, He’ll do that through you.
With love and gratitude,
